Membership with Volunteer Yukon is available to Yukoners only: individuals residing in the Yukon (short term or long term); Yukon registered non-profit organizations and charities; Yukon Government departments or crown corporations; Yukon organizations holding short-term or special events; Yukon professional associations, trade unions, and private businesses (though some limitations may apply to the latter).
Members of Volunteer Yukon must agree to follow and uphold our Vision/Mission/Goals.
Membership Benefits
In addition to our regular programs and services, Volunteer Yukon members receive the following benefits:
- Discounts on training workshops
- Two free workshops (Lunch and Learn sessions/Board Leadership Training sessions)
- Consultation and referral services on various board and volunteer management issues
- Library loans for up to three designated staff members/volunteers (a $25 deposit is required)
- One vote per individual/organization at our Annual General Meeting
- Electronic mail-outs and information updates, via NonProfitNet
- Access to overhead projector, flipcharts, and tools (a small fee will be charged)
- Access to database of professional consultants
New Services
(1) Our newon-line database contains a listing of volunteers and a listing of volunteer opportunities. The volunteer opportunities can be accessed by anyone (members and non-members alike), but organizations must become members in order to post volunteer opportunities to the database.
(2) We can also list your special event on our website's calendar: Community Events.
(3) Volunteer Yukon also has a bi-monthly column - "Active in Your Community" - in the Monday edition of Yukon News, for posting volunteer opportunities and promoting special events.

Fee Structure
Organizations: Fee is $25 and covers 3 staff members/volunteers.
Individuals: Fee is $10 (individuals are entitled to the same benefits as organizations).
Memberships are valid for one year.
