A strong Yukon with a strong volunteer spirit!

Volunteer Yukon's mission is to foster and promote volunteerism throughout the Yukon by providing easy access to resources, training, consultation, and support for individuals and organizations.

We opened our doors in April 2002. Since then, we have delivered dozens of training events, connected volunteers with organizations in need of help, celebrated and fostered volunteerism in the Yukon, gathered and shared information on how to work with volunteers or run a non-profit, and much more.

NEW! Privacy Policy Template for Non-Profit Organizations
This template was developed by Privacy Consultant Hank Moorlag. The template incorporates 10 universal privacy protection priciples that will afford organizations a high standard of privacy protection over personal information, regardless of what regulatory sheme may or may not apply to all or part of their operation. Hank has volunteered his time and expertise in developing this template, and has generously offered one hour of time at no cost to any of Volunteer Yukon's member organizations to help adapt the template for their use. Please make your request for Hank'shelp through Volunteer Yukon: Template - Privacy Protection Policy 21oct09 draft.pdf

NEW!
The Canadian Directory to Foundations and Corporations
The Canadian Directory to Foundations & Corporations is Canada’s largest and most accurate bilingual fundraising database. We have more than 3,100 foundation listings, more than 150 corporations and over 90,000 indexed grants.
The Directory is used by almost every successful fundraiser in the country. Get access to the specific information you need without wading through unnecessary or hard-to-find data. Categories are clearly designed for easy access to every grantmaker’s funding interests as well as their listed grants. Conveniently searchable categories represent every type of charitable activity from Arts to Zoos.
As the Directory is updated every week, you benefit from the latest information available. In addition, our Directory team thoroughly reviews tax filings of foundations from the Canada Revenue Agency. From there, we go above and beyond by contacting all 3,100 foundations so they can augment their information. From the feedback we receive from foundations, apparently we are the only directory of its kind who contacts foundations directly for updates.

If you are a Volunteer Yukon member, you will have access to the Directory for free. Please call us at 456-4304.
